Richard K Newman, MD, FACS

A native of San Antonio, Dr. Newman is a graduate of Texas A & M University and the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He received his residency training at Wilford Hall US Air Force Medical Center in San Antonio and is Board Certified. In addition, Dr. Newman received fellowship training in head and neck cancer at the prestigious M. D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in Houston Texas. Dr. Newman practice with Affiliated Head & Neck Surgeons of San Antonio until 2006, when he joined the practice in 2006. Dr. Newman is active in resident training and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Newman is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also received a special appointment by Governor Rick Perry to serve in the Peer Review Process for the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Newman is active in the Methodist Physician Outreach and has worked on numerous medical missions to Honduras. Dr. Newman sees patients for the diagnosis and management of head and neck cancer at our Northwest location.
